Spurwink Services

Spurwink Services is a nationally accredited non-profit organization that provides mental health and educational services to effectively meet the diverse needs of individuals and families facing emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. Our primary areas of service include: residential and day treatment for youth; residential and day services for adults; autism spectrum services; outpatient services; and evidence-based community practices.

As a critical component of Maine’s health care system, Spurwink Services has gained a reputation for excellence in evidence-based treatment and service delivery throughout Maine and beyond. A principal goal of the agency is to provide a stable, emotionally supportive environment that is the least restrictive and the most effective in helping clients reach their full potential.

The agency’s wide array of program and services is designed to meet the identified needs of each client. Individualized care and treatment are the cornerstone of the agency’s mission and values.

Spurwink acquired the Augusta Boys and Girls Club for Teens in 2004 further enhancing the agency’s commitment to supporting the needs of Maine families.

Take Time for Teens

Teenagers cannot be expected to act like adults...they are busy trying to figure out who they might become. As adults, we need to be providing them with good role models.
