The Teen Center was decorated by both staff and the teens themselves following many discussions about how we wanted things to look for ourselves and our visitors. With over 5,000 square feet of space and many concrete walls to paint and decorate, young people volunteered their artistic talents to make the club their own.
Furniture frequently gets re-arranged by members of the club. Doors are painted in colors that range from reds to purples to bright greens.
The bright, expansive space has lots of large floor-to-ceiling windows. This fall, community volunteers from the local Elks Club are making drapes for the large windows to help prevent heat loss during the long Maine winter.
