The Arts
The Arts are a part of our everyday lives - from the clothes we wear and the color of our rooms to the design of furniture and cars. Teens who come to the center can explore the arts in a variety of forms - pottery, cartooning, music, photography, drawing, painting projects, fabric arts. The Teen Center itself is a gallery of art, showcasing the diverse talents of our young people.
Not everyone will grow up to be an artist, but at the Teen Center we celebrate the many moods, expressions and imaginations of our teens. Together, we can all enjoy and appreciate the beauty of a well designed dance, song, painting, vase or dress.
Using digital photography, teens can share their creations on My Space pages or develop designs around the scrapbooking arts.
Our program is free and each summer we look forward to having one or two weeks of intensive art sessions with kids of all ages.
