A look inside

The Augusta Boys and Girls Club for Teens has been in its current home in the Buker Center since 2006.

At the Buker Center, we have separate areas for art, playing pool, working on the computer, watching videos and for just sitting and talking with friends. There are also offices for two social workers as well as a reception area. We are developing music and audio areas for young people who wish to develop their own musical sound and burn their own CDs. There are always adults available to mentor and guide young people who come into the center.

Everywhere you look in the Augusta Boys and Girls Club, there is evidence of contributions from the community that help to make the center a fun and special place for teens. We are very grateful for the support we have received - and continue to receive - from the greater Augusta community.

Use the slideshow to tour the Teen Center online or visit us at 22 Armory Street in Augusta.

Take Time for Teens

The only constant in life is change. Teens are faced with the challenges of very rapid changes in their bodies and their brains...13 year olds are very different from 14 year olds, 14 year olds are very different from 16 year olds and they are very different from 18 year olds.
